„The colour range of Pakalka’s paintings started brightening and clearing already ten years ago; recently it has acquired a particular touch with a stained-glass effect: sensitive, sometimes coated with silver frost, whitish, brownish, bluish and mustard colour surfaces often become inflamed with red, yellow or blue of primary brightnes. Combinations of colours radiating transparent and positive energy often are separated from each other with resolute outlines drawn in contrasting colours, which immediately form particularly simple figurative images: a tree, a flower, a building, an animal or a thing.“ (Helmutas Sabasevicius).
