
ALEKSANDRAS ALEKSEJEVAS (ALEX)
I was born 22 November 1963.
I graduated from Kaunas A. Martinaitis Art School in Lithuania in 1995. I work as sculptor since 1993. I exhibited my works extensively in my native country Lithuania since 1997 and also in Moscow since 2000 where my creative activity took place until my move to the UK in 2004.
My works are found in the public collections of The State Tretyakov Gallery and M. Tsvetayeva Museum in Moscow, International Art Found in Moscow, Lithuanian Embassy in Moscow, The Library of Foreign Literature in Moscow, A. Akhmatova Municipal Museum in St. Petersburg, Florian Museum in Corabunary (Romania), Tallinn Zoo (Estonia) also in the private collections in Lithuania, Russia, Belgium, Germany, USA, UK, Canada.
I am an associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors from 2004.
My favourite material is bronze. I know all the technologies of bronze casting and usually do all the operations by myself, from modelling to casting and patinating.
