JUOZAS ADOMONIS

Born in 1932 in Serijai, Lazdijai district, Lithuania.
A prominent Lithuanian artist – ceramicist, 
1957 - member of Lithuanian Artist’s Association,
1984 - Professor of Vilnius Academy of Art,
2002 - Honoured Artist awarded the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas, the Cross of Commander,
2004 - the Government Art Premium of the Republic of Lithuania, other awards and cerfiticates. 

The artist has created decorative ceramic units for both exteriors and interiors in Vilnius, Klaipeda, Utena and Druskininkai.

Since 1957 the artist has participated in exhibitions within the country and abroad, has held 6 personal exhibitions, was an organizer of international symposiums in Vilnius (1971, 1975, 1999) and participant in such symposiums held booth locally and abroad. 
Mr. Adomonis is an author of textbooks, albums, catalogues and articles.
